I’ve “released” my album number 3, Riding the Raw Waves. I say “released” because it is ongoing. I have been for a while now experimenting with a program called ams, Alsa Modular Synth, and have come up with some interesting sounds/music/tracks. Check them out on the music page.

2 of the 3 songs i submitted to modernbeats.com’s Sony Music needs Pop Beats contest, Mini Mono Club Dance and Funky Rural Banjo Beats, received runner up status out of 5 possible statuses. there were probably many others who received the same level of recognition and I know second place is the first loser, but still "it was an honor just being nominated" =)

the Mini Mono Club Dance version i submitted is actually version 2 of the original Mini Mono Club Dance. i removed a couple of elements.

i’m on vacation and have had a “little” more time to work on music. i’ve just uploaded 20 videos of guitar/piano/korg kaossilator riffs, songs, and samples to my youtube channel

i just made this up, its pretty simple:
E E7 then just move the E up 3 frets (055400), then back down 1 fret (044300)

i don’t what to call this, it’s not a complete song, but it’s more than a riff, so i’ll call it a song for now =) there are no “chords” in the traditional sense, there is only one finger down at a time with a little sliding and strumming of surrounding open strings. i think i begin on the third string, 9th fret. to create this “song” i just found two notes that sounded good, transitioning between them, then found other surrounding notes that sounded good with those notes, up and down the fretboard/neck…
