i just made a java program that generates random chord progressions that follow the “rules” of this table above and outputs the whole thing to a midi file =) it can be used for inspiration when trying to find a new chord progression. i could probably also modify it to be given a specific number of chords for a progression (with an obvious not-too-high maximum number), then output all the possible combinations. i think i’ll do that next.
