ok, i didn’t freshen up on the lyrics before singing this so some of them might be wrong. i’m singing a little higher than the original and playing the guitar different than the original. i still find it frigging hard to play and sing at the same time… =)
original mandolin riff 05
i just recorded this, 20090124, but i originally wrote it on 20090103235858. ok, the mandolin has tiny frets and 8 strings, so to get it sounding somewhat how i wanted it it took about 40 takes, i’m not joking =) it’s not perfect, but you get the idea.

i recorded this today, 20090124, with a backup vocal shout by a 2 yr old in the very beginning. in my search to find “my voice” i can at least say that i feel comfortable singing like john fogerty, but i still feel like i’m using my voice more than trying to imitate his.
i’m just sampling the lyrics here off the top of my head so save your comments about the lyrics… =)
